Bosch sanding belt 2609256235, 60 grit, 451 mm x 6 mm is a replacement abrasive belt designed for compatible belt sanders. Its 60-grit abrasive surface is intended for medium-coarse material removal, shaping and rapid stock removal on wood and similar substrates. The belt’s dimensions allow straightforward fitting on machines that accept a 451 mm x 6 mm belt, offering a consistent abrasive surface to support renovation, woodworking and preparatory sanding tasks.

Advantages

The 60-grit abrasive provides an effective balance between removal rate and surface finish, enabling faster stripping of old coatings and smoothing of rough timber. Bosch manufacturing ensures uniform abrasive distribution and reliable belt tracking when properly fitted. The belt construction is suitable for repeated fitting and replacement during regular maintenance, maintaining sanding efficiency and stable results across the working width.

How to use

Ensure the belt sander is unplugged or the battery removed before fitting the replacement belt. Release the tensioning mechanism according to the sander manufacturer’s instructions, slide the sanding belt onto the drive and idler rollers aligning the directional arrows if present, then re-tension and rotate the rollers by hand to check tracking. Start the sander at low speed and verify correct tracking and stability before applying the tool to the workpiece. Apply consistent, moderate pressure and move the sander along the grain where possible to achieve even material removal. Replace the belt when abrasive performance diminishes or the backing shows wear.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, dust mask and hearing protection. Use dust extraction where possible to reduce airborne particles and prolong abrasive life. Avoid excessive pressure and sustained overload on the belt to prevent premature wear or damage to the sander.
