Ενσύρματο οπτικό ποντίκι 3 κουμπιών IBM 89Y1273 USB

The Wired Optical 3-Button Mouse IBM 89Y1273 USB is a basic wired optical pointing device designed for reliable everyday desktop and laptop use. It features three physical buttons — left, right and a central middle button — and connects via a standard USB cable for immediate plug-and-play operation on most operating systems. The mouse provides optical tracking for consistent cursor movement on common work surfaces and a compact shape suitable for standard hand sizes.

Advantages

This wired optical mouse offers straightforward operation without the need for batteries or wireless pairing, ensuring consistent responsiveness and minimal setup. Its three-button layout supports standard navigation and middle-click functions for tab management or document scrolling. The USB interface ensures broad compatibility, while optical sensing provides accurate pointer control for routine office applications.

Suitable for

• Office work: word processing, spreadsheets and email
• Web browsing and online research
• Basic home computer use and multimedia navigation
• Public workstations and shared environments where plug-and-play reliability is important

Key specifications

• Connection: wired USB interface for plug-and-play use
• Buttons: three physical buttons (left, right, middle)
• Sensing technology: optical tracking for reliable cursor control
• Form factor: compact, symmetrical shape suitable for right- or left-handed users with standard grip styles
• Power: bus-powered via USB (no batteries required)

How to use

Connect the mouse to an available USB port on your computer and wait for the operating system to recognize the device. No additional drivers are typically required for common desktop and laptop systems. Use the left and right buttons for normal selection and context menus; use the middle button for tasks such as opening links in new tabs or activating application-specific functions. Move the mouse on a flat surface to control the on-screen pointer; a mouse pad can improve tracking on reflective or uneven surfaces.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the optical sensor and mouse feet clean and use on a low-reflectivity surface. Disconnect and store the cable safely when transporting a laptop to avoid damage. If the pointer feels imprecise, try cleaning the sensor window and confirming the USB port is fully seated.
