The Lenovo 01AV425 battery is a replacement power unit engineered for the ThinkPad T470. It uses Lithium‑Ion (Li‑Ion) technology to deliver stable voltage and extended runtime compared with worn or degraded cells. The battery connects to the laptop through the standard ThinkPad battery bay and is finished in black to match the laptop's design.

Advantages

This Lenovo battery provides reliable power delivery and consistent charge/discharge performance thanks to Li‑Ion chemistry and the specified 4400 mAh capacity. It restores portable operation time for the ThinkPad T470 without requiring system modifications, offers straightforward installation, and maintains compatibility with the laptop's power management functions. The black housing matches the device's original aesthetic.

Key specifications

• Battery technology: Lithium‑Ion (Li‑Ion)
• Battery capacity: 4400 mAh
• Colour: Black
• Form factor: External replaceable laptop battery for ThinkPad T470
• Typical runtime: Restores manufacturer's expected mobile runtime depending on system configuration and usage

How to use

Power down the ThinkPad T470 or put it into hibernation, slide the battery release latches and remove the existing battery if present. Align the replacement battery with the battery bay and press until it clicks into place. Power on the laptop and allow the operating system to detect the new battery; charge it fully before first extended use to optimise battery management. Use standard Lenovo power settings to monitor charge level and health.

Recommendations

Store and operate the battery within the laptop manufacturer's recommended temperature range, avoid exposure to moisture and extreme temperatures, and use the original or certified Lenovo charger for charging. For prolonged storage keep the battery at about 40–60% charge and check charge level periodically to prevent deep discharge.
