Most 4U enclosures compromise on either cooling capacity or drive flexibility, but the Lanberg SC01-5204-12B refuses to choose. Built on a 1.2 mm galvanized steel frame, this 19-inch rackmount chassis delivers the structural rigidity expected in data centers while accommodating everything from compact Mini-ITX boards to full-size SSI EEB server platforms. Five pre-installed PWM fans (three 120 mm, two 80 mm) keep high-performance components within safe thermal limits, and the perforated front panel with a replaceable dust filter ensures clean airflow even in dusty industrial environments.

Highlights

• 4U form factor with 19-inch rack compatibility and lockable front door for physical security
• Supports ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and SSI EEB motherboards for versatile build configurations
• Massive storage potential: up to 10 x 3.5" and 3 x 2.5" drive bays (configurable), plus 3 external 5.25" bays
• Five included PWM fans (2 x 120 mm front, 1 x 120 mm middle, 2 x 80 mm rear) with speed range 600–1500 RPM and low noise (~33 dB)
• Front I/O panel with 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A ports, audio jacks, power/reset buttons, and LED indicators
• Seven full-height expansion slots for GPUs, RAID controllers, or network adapters
• Includes SFX power supply adapter, PWM splitters, SATA power splitters, and key lock for easy installation

In daily use

Deploying this chassis in a rack is straightforward thanks to the included mounting hardware and thoughtful accessory kit. The SFX PSU adapter allows you to use compact power supplies without sacrificing stability, while the PWM splitters let you synchronize fan speeds with motherboard control for quieter operation during low loads. The lockable front door prevents unauthorized access to drives and buttons, making it suitable for shared colocation spaces or branch offices. With its 520 mm depth, the SC01-5204-12B fits standard 19-inch racks and leaves enough internal room for long expansion cards and cable management.
