Κάρτα δικτύου Sonnet G10E-1X-E3 εσωτερική Ethernet 10000 Mbit/s

The Sonnet G10E-1X-E3 is an internal PCIe network card that adds 10GBASE-T (10 Gbit/s) Ethernet connectivity to desktop and workstation computers. It provides a single RJ45 port for connection over standard copper cabling and is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux systems when installed in a PCIe slot or used inside a Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion chassis.

Advantages

The card delivers high throughput and low host-CPU utilization through hardware features such as flow control, 64-bit addressing support for systems with more than 4 GB of memory, and stateless offloads including TCP, UDP, and IPv4 checksum offloading. It supports NBASE-T link rates (2.5/5 Gbit/s) on CAT5e cabling for improved speeds without rewiring, and Audio Video Bridging (AVB) for time-sensitive audio/video workflows. Two mounting brackets (full-height and low-profile) are included for flexible installation.

How to use

Install the Sonnet G10E-1X-E3 into an available PCIe slot in your computer or into a Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion chassis. Connect an RJ45 network cable to the card and to a compatible 10GbE or multi-gig switch, router, or directly to 10GbE storage. Configure network settings using the operating system’s network device configuration tools and install any required drivers provided by the card vendor.

Recommendations

For best performance at full 10 Gbit/s, use CAT6A cabling up to 100 meters or CAT6 for shorter runs. If your facility uses CAT5e, using a multi-gig switch enables 2.5/5 Gbit/s NBASE-T speeds without rewiring. When installing in Thunderbolt expansion systems, verify Thunderbolt chassis compatibility and available PCIe lane allocation to ensure optimal throughput.
