The EFB Elektronik PRO-DCH86B.GR is a grey rack cover constructed from durable steel, designed to fit standard network cabinets with a width of 800 mm and depth of 600 mm. With a slim 40 mm profile, this cover protects equipment mounted in racks from dust, accidental contact and mechanical damage while maintaining a professional appearance. Its metal construction provides a stable protective barrier and contributes to long-term reliability of rack installations.

Advantages

The robust steel construction ensures mechanical strength and resistance to impacts and deformation. The grey finish offers neutral styling that integrates well into server rooms, data centres and technical cabinets. Its precise dimensions—800 mm width, 600 mm depth and 40 mm height—deliver a close fit that reduces air gaps and helps maintain tidy cable management. The slim profile minimises space usage while providing full coverage for the intended rack area.

• Covers for 19-inch network cabinets and enclosures with matching footprint
• Protecting rack-mounted servers, switches and patch panels from dust and contact
• Use in server rooms, telecommunications closets and equipment cabinets
• Environments where a low-profile, durable cover is required

How to use

Position the rack cover over the front or rear opening of the cabinet, aligning the edges with the cabinet frame. Fasten the cover according to the cabinet’s mounting points or the cover’s designated fixing method; this may involve screws, clips or captive fasteners depending on the enclosure. Ensure that all cables and connectors are routed correctly before installation to avoid pinching or obstructing ventilation paths. After installation, verify that the cover sits flush and provides the intended protection without interfering with door or panel operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, select a rack cover that matches the internal equipment layout and cooling strategy of your cabinet. Regularly inspect the cover for signs of wear or corrosion and clean with non-abrasive cleaners. Avoid blocking ventilation openings critical to equipment cooling; if additional airflow is required, consider using vented covers or supplementary fan units compatible with the cabinet.
