The ShiverPeaks BS07-500715 10m LC Green fibre optic cable is a multimode OM5 patch cable designed for high-speed, full duplex data transmission over short to medium distances. With LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable is intended for network environments that require reliable, low-loss connections such as data centers, server rooms and enterprise network backbones. The green jacket identifies the OM5 multimode specification and helps with quick visual segregation in complex cabling systems.

Advantages

This 10 m OM5 fibre offers low attenuation and consistent multimode performance suitable for high-bandwidth applications. LC connectors provide a compact termination for dense patch panels, and the cable’s construction emphasizes signal integrity and mechanical durability. The green outer jacket simplifies identification for OM5 links and supports color-coded infrastructure management.

Suitable for

• Data center patching between switches and servers
• High-performance computing (HPC) cluster interconnects
• Enterprise backbone and riser connections
• Telecommunications equipment interlinks requiring OM5 multimode

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 10 m
• Connector type: LC to LC (duplex)
• Jacket color: Green (OM5 identification)
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Route the cable between equipment with minimal bending stress and avoid sharp bends that exceed the manufacturer’s bend radius to preserve optical performance. Insert the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports until they latch securely. Ensure dust caps are removed and connector end faces are clean before mating; use an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. For patching in racks, secure the cable to cable management hardware to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use this OM5 cable in environments that benefit from multimode short-reach optics, maintain clean connector end faces, and follow standard fibre handling practices. Store and label cables to maintain color-coded identification and replace any cable that shows visible damage to the jacket or connectors.
