Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών ShiverPeaks BS07-106012 SC OS2 0,5 m κίτρινο

The ShiverPeaks BS07-106012 SC OS2 0.5 m Yellow is a single-mode fibre optic patch cable designed for short interconnects in high-speed networking environments. It features SC connectors on both ends and an OS2 fibre core with a nominal 9 µm diameter, providing low attenuation for long-distance signal integrity while being sized for convenient rack- and cabinet-level connections. The 0.5 m length and yellow jacket make this cable suitable for tidy, colour-coded installations where precise connection and clear identification are important.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers stable single-mode transmission characteristics with SC-to-SC connectivity and a compact 0.5 m length that minimises excess slack in dense installations. The OS2 fibre type ensures low loss and high bandwidth potential, while the yellow outer jacket improves visual identification and routing. The standardized SC connectors deliver secure mechanical mating and simple push-pull operation for fast installation and rearrangement.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections in data centres and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, SFP modules and patch panels using SC ports
• Structured cabling where colour-coding and neat cable management are required
• Telecommunications and carrier-grade single-mode links at rack level

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm (nominal)
• Connectors: SC to SC
• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Outer colour: Yellow
• Application: Patch cable for optical network equipment

How to use

Route the cable between SC-compatible ports on network devices such as switches, transceivers, or patch panels, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Insert the SC connector into the adapter or port until it clicks into place; to disconnect, depress the latch and pull straight out. Avoid tight bends near the connector and maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius to preserve signal performance. For long-term installations, secure the cable along trays or cable management panels to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Prior to installation, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Use this 0.5 m cable for rack-level patching to reduce excess slack and improve airflow; for longer spans select a suitably longer single-mode fibre cable. Store unused cables coiled loosely and protected from crushing or sharp bends.
