Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77911/4 5 m

The ShiverPeaks Fibre optic cable S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77911/4 5 m is a 5-metre multimode OM4 patch cable designed for short to medium distance high-speed data transmission. It features an SC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other, with a 50 µm core diameter that supports full duplex communication. The cable is intended for environments that require low-loss optical connections such as data centers, server rooms and high-performance networking setups.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre optic cable provides improved bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion for enhanced signal integrity over typical multimode links. The combination of SC and ST connectors offers compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment and patch panels. The 5 m length balances flexibility and reach while maintaining low insertion loss and reliable full duplex operation for symmetric transmit and receive channels.

Suitable for

• Interconnects in data centers and server racks
• High-performance computing clusters and storage networks
• Telecommunications rooms and campus backbone links
• Fiber patch panels and cross-connect installations

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: SC to ST (one end SC, other end ST)
• Length: 5 m
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Short- to medium-range optical links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean if necessary using an appropriate fibre cleaning tool. Align and insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC socket and the ST connector into the ST socket until secure. Ensure the cable is routed without sharp bends, tension, or crushing; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for OM4 multimode fibre. Verify link operation and duplex configuration via network diagnostics or optical test equipment to confirm acceptable insertion loss and return loss.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a clean environment, avoid kinking, and use proper strain relief at connection points. Use compatible transceivers and ensure patch panels accept SC and ST terminations. For best performance in critical installations, perform fibre certification testing and periodic inspection of connector endfaces.
