Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών ROLINE OM4 LC/LC 15m

The ROLINE OM4 LC/LC fibre optic cable, 15 m in length, is a duplex multimode 50/125 µm cable designed for high-bandwidth network connections. With OM4 grade fibre and low-loss LC connectors, it supports 10 Gb/s Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF applications up to 550 m and is suitable for long building backbones and medium-length campus backbones. The cable jacket and assembly comply with ROLINE quality standards and the cable is finished in purple.

Advantages

OM4 multimode fibre combined with low-loss LC connectors provides low insertion loss and good return loss, enabling higher effective reach and improved signal quality compared with standard connectors. The assembled cable offers a typical reduced connector attenuation compared to standard LC types, improving link margin in data center and backbone installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre horizontal and backbone links
• Campus backbone connections up to 550 m
• 10 Gb/s Ethernet and Fibre Channel links
• High-bandwidth server and switch interconnects

How to use

Inspect connectors and fibre ends for contamination before installation and clean if necessary. Route the cable following bend-radius recommendations for multimode fibre and secure it to avoid strain on the connectors. Plug LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on switches, transceivers or patch panels, ensuring duplex polarity is correct for the application. Test the link after installation to verify insertion loss and link performance.

Recommendations

Use low-dust handling and appropriate fibre cleaning tools when connecting the OM4 LC/LC cable. For permanent installations, maintain recommended minimum bend radius and avoid tight ties or kinks to preserve optical performance.
