LANBERG FO-LULU-MD41-0010-VT is a 1 m OM4 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends (LC–LC). The cable has a violet LSZH jacket and duplex 50/125 µm construction, intended for high-speed InfiniBand and multimode fibre networks where low insertion loss and reliable short-to-medium distance links are required.

Advantages

The cable uses OM4 multimode fiber with UPC-polished LC connectors, delivering insertion loss below 0.25 dB and return loss greater than 50 dB. Its 3.0 mm duplex construction with LSZH coating provides a compact, low-smoke, low-toxicity jacket and a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm, allowing flexible routing in dense installations. Operating temperature range from -40 to 85 °C supports typical data centre and equipment room environments.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between network equipment in data centres
• Interconnects in server racks and switch panels
• Short- and medium-range multimode fibre links (OM4)
• High-speed InfiniBand and fibre-channel applications

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC–LC (duplex)
• Polishing standard: UPC
• Fiber type / mode: OM4 multimode (50/125 µm)
• Cable diameter: 3.0 mm
• Coating: LSZH (violet)
• Insertion loss: < 0.25 dB
• Return loss: > 50 dB
• Operating temperature: -40 to 85 °C
• Minimum bend radius: 7.5 mm
• Cable length: 1 m

How to use

Confirm connector compatibility with your equipment (LC ports) and ensure both ends are clean before insertion. Route the duplex cable following rack and tray paths, avoid sharp bends and maintain at least the minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm. Insert LC connectors into the appropriate transceiver or panel ports until they click; remove by depressing the latch and pulling straight. For long-term installations, secure the cable to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use dust caps or clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before each connection. Do not bend the cable beyond the specified minimum radius and avoid exposure to temperatures outside the -40 to 85 °C range. The violet LSZH jacket aids identification in mixed-fibre environments.
