Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Helos 10m OM4 SC/SC

The Helos 10m OM4 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a multimode patch cable engineered for high-speed data transmission over short to medium distances. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM4 grade multimode fiber, the cable supports high bandwidth and is suitable for modern networking environments. The SC/SC connectors on both ends enable stable full-duplex links and easy integration with standard multimode equipment. Its violet jacket provides clear visual identification within dense cabling runs and server rooms.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode construction delivers improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower multimode grades, allowing higher data rates and extended reach for enterprise networks. The SC duplex connectors provide a push-pull coupling mechanism that ensures reproducible connections and stable optical performance. The 10 m length offers flexibility for patching between racks, switches and transceivers without requiring additional adapters. The cable jacket and connector housing are designed for reliable mechanical protection and repeated mating cycles.

Suitable for

• Data center patching between switches, patch panels and transceivers
• Enterprise LAN links and server room interconnects
• High-speed storage area networks (SAN) and virtualization setups
• Fiber channel and 10Gb/25Gb/40Gb Ethernet multimode applications (where OM4 is supported)

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC duplex
• Length: 10 m
• Duplex/full-duplex support: Yes
• Jacket colour: Violet

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or contamination before installation and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber. Plug SC connectors firmly into compatible SC ports until they latch; confirm both ends are connected to the intended devices or patch panel ports for full-duplex operation. After connection, verify optical link with appropriate testing equipment such as an OTDR or power meter and routine network diagnostics to ensure signal integrity.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to prevent kinks and excessive bending. Use labeled routing and colour-coded management to keep violet OM4 links identifiable in dense installations. For critical links, perform insertion loss testing after installation and periodically inspect endfaces to maintain optimal performance.
