Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών EFB Elektronik O0348.5 5 m ST μωβ

The EFB Elektronik O0348.5 is a 5 m OM4 fibre optic cable with ST connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. It is designed as a short patchcord for structured cabling installations, providing a direct optical connection between a passive interface and an active device port. The cable construction conforms to international structured cabling principles and is intended for high-speed data transmission with low attenuation.

Advantages

The cable features aramid yarn reinforcement for improved tensile strength and long-term stability, and a halogen-free, flame-retardant LSZH sheath that meets IEC-60754-2, IEC-60332-1 and IEC-61034 standards. Connectors comply with optical performance grades specified for singlemode and multimode applications, and each patchcord is 100% tested and supplied with an individual test protocol.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections within data centers and server rooms
• Patching between network switches, routers, and active optical equipment
• Enterprise structured cabling installations using OM4 multimode fibre
• Fiber backbone and distribution panels where ST terminations are used

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: ST on both ends
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen-free, flame retardant)
• Reinforcement: aramid yarn for tensile resistance
• Individual performance test report supplied

How to use

Install the fibre optic patchcord by connecting each ST connector to the corresponding ST adapter or equipment port, ensuring connectors are clean and undamaged before mating. Route the cable following standard bend-radius and strain-relief practices to avoid mechanical stress; avoid sharp bends and heavy pulls. Verify optical continuity and link performance after installation using appropriate test equipment and the supplied test protocol.

Recommendations

Keep connector endfaces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use, follow OM4 multimode link planning for distance and bandwidth, and avoid routing the cable near strong electromagnetic or mechanical hazards. Use the individual test report to confirm compliance with your installation requirements.
