Καλώδιο Οπτικών Ινών Duplex LC/ST InLine 50/125µm OM3 5m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable LC/ST 50/125µm OM3 5m is a multimode duplex fiber patch cable built for high-speed network links. Featuring LC connector on one end and ST connector on the other, this 5 metre OM3 cable uses a 50/125 µm core/cladding geometry to deliver low attenuation and controlled modal bandwidth for reliable data transmission. It is intended for interconnecting active equipment in server rooms, network racks and structured cabling systems where 10 Gigabit Ethernet and similar high-bandwidth protocols are required.

Advantages

This OM3 duplex fiber cable provides improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibers, enabling longer reach for 10 Gbit/s links. The LC and ST connectors offer compatibility with a wide range of network devices and patch panels, while the duplex construction supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels. The standardized 50/125 µm geometry and OM3 performance ensure predictable link behaviour and reduced signal loss over the 5 m length.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in data centres and enterprise networks
• Patch panels, switches and transceivers with LC and ST interfaces
• Short to medium multimode fiber links within wiring closets and server racks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM3
• Core / cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector A: LC (duplex)
• Connector B: ST (duplex)
• Length: 5 m
• Purpose: Duplex patch cable for transmit and receive
• Optimized for: 10 Gbit/s class multimode applications

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before insertion and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools to avoid increased attenuation. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the ST connector into the ST port, ensuring proper alignment and secure latching. Route the cable along existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to prevent microbending losses. For duplex operation, ensure TX and RX channels are cross-connected appropriately between devices.

Recommendations

For reliable high-speed links, use this OM3 50/125 µm duplex cable for intra-rack and inter-rack connections up to the recommended OM3 distance limits for 10 Gbit/s. Keep connectors covered when not in use, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and follow your networking equipment vendor’s optical transceiver alignment instructions to achieve expected link performance.
