The BlueOptics QSFP28-DAC-1M-SP-BL is a 1‑meter InfiniBand direct-attach cable with QSFP28 male connectors, designed for short-reach, high-speed connections in data centers and network racks. This passive twinax-style cable supports 100G electrical signaling over a 1 m distance and follows MSA-compliant QSFP28 form-factor requirements to ensure interoperability with compatible hardware.

Advantages

This QSFP28 direct-attach cable provides a compact, low-latency connection with minimal power consumption because it is a passive design. It is manufactured to meet common industry standards and uses high-quality components to deliver stable performance for rack-to-rack and intra-rack links. The 1 m length reduces cabling clutter in dense equipment deployments and simplifies short-distance installations.

Key specifications

• Form factor: QSFP28 to QSFP28 male connectors
• Length: 1 meter
• Data rate: up to 100 Gbps (100G electrical / CR4 signaling)
• Cable type: passive direct attach (twinax-style, 30 AWG conductors typical for passive DAC)
• Compatibility: MSA-compliant QSFP28 interface for broad vendor interoperability

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP28-DAC-1M-SP-BL by inserting each QSFP28 connector firmly into the corresponding QSFP28 port on the two devices to be linked. Ensure both devices support passive DAC cables and the intended protocol (InfiniBand or 100GBase-CR4). Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; secure it in cable-management brackets if needed. No additional power or configuration on the cable itself is required, though host devices may automatically recognize the link and negotiate settings.
