The EFB Elektronik LC-SC 50/125µ 10 m fibre optic cable is an OM4 multimode patchcord designed for short to medium-length high-speed links. With a 50 µm core diameter and duplex LC to SC terminations, this 10-metre cable provides an industry-standard connection between active devices and passive network interfaces in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This LC-SC fibre optic cable offers OM4 performance for improved bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower OM classes, stable duplex communication via matched LC and SC connectors, and a standardized 50/125 µm multimode core suitable for modern data centre and enterprise networks. Its 10 m length allows flexible routing while keeping insertion loss and connection points to a minimum.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and server-to-switch links
• High-speed multimode network segments (Ethernet, Fibre Channel)
• Patch panels and equipment with LC and SC ports
• Short to medium optical runs within racks and across rooms

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for contamination before installation. Route the cable following bend radius recommendations for multimode fibre and avoid tight bends, kinks or mechanical stress. Plug the LC and SC connectors into the corresponding device or panel ports until they click into place. For optimal performance, keep connections clean using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and secure the cable to prevent movement that could cause connector contamination or attenuation increases.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 LC-SC 50/125 µm patchcord for short to medium multimode links where higher bandwidth and lower modal dispersion are required; clean connectors before mating and avoid exceeding the recommended minimum bend radius to maintain signal integrity.
