The BlueOptics EFE080-007.5M-R-BO LC to LC/UPC fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch cable with a 7.5 m length designed for reliable optical data transmission in network and telecommunication installations. It is built with G.657.A1 compliant fibre that supports tight bending radii and reduced macro-bending loss. The cable has a 9 µm core diameter and comes in a yellow jacket for clear identification in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This fibre cable offers low attenuation and stable optical performance suitable for high-speed single-mode links. The use of LC/UPC connectors provides precise axial alignment and low back reflection, while the G.657.A1 fibre type improves bend insensitivity compared with older single-mode variants. The fixed 7.5 m length simplifies planning for patching between cabinets, panels and active equipment without unnecessary slack.

How to use

Connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC receptacle on the devices or patch panels, ensuring the UPC ferrules are clean and free of dust. Avoid tight kinks and maintain manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radii when routing the cable. Use cable management accessories such as trays or Velcro straps to secure the cable and prevent mechanical stress on connectors. Test the optical link after installation with appropriate optical power meters or OTDR where required.

Recommendations

Before installation, inspect and clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools. Do not exceed recommended bend radius to preserve performance. Store unused cables coiled without sharp bends and protect connector ends with dust caps until connected.
