The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-LC-LC-1M-BO is a 1 metre OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed, full-duplex optical links. It uses laser-optimized OM3 fibre and LC/UPC-style connectors to connect patch panels, transceivers or active networking equipment over short to medium distances. The cable is sheathed in flame-retardant LSZH material and is intended for reliable, low-loss signal transmission in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This 1 m OM3 LC–LC cable delivers low attenuation and high return loss thanks to quality multimode fibre and precision connectors. BlueOptics components include zirconia ceramic ferrules and branded fibre from established manufacturers to ensure consistent performance and durability up to many mating cycles. Each cable is factory-tested with interferometry and OTDR and supplied with measured input loss and return loss values. The LSZH jacket reduces halogen emissions and smoke in case of fire, meeting common industrial safety expectations.

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces and ensure dust caps are removed right before insertion. Align each LC connector with the corresponding LC duplex or simplex port and insert until a firm click indicates proper engagement. Use the 1 m cable to bridge short distances between transceivers and patch panels or to interconnect adjacent panels and switches. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable with appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and minimise stress on connectors.

Recommendations

Keep connector endfaces clean using approved fibre cleaning tools and inspect with a fibre scope before critical connections. Maintain the recommended minimum bend radius for OM3 multimode fibre, avoid kinking, and store or route the cable in trays or ties that do not compress the jacket.
