The Lindy 38530 Armoured Fibre Optic Hybrid HDMI 8K60 Cable is a 30 m active HDMI 2.1 extension cable with HDMI Type A connectors designed for long-distance, high-bandwidth AV transmission. The cable combines fibre optic signal paths with an armoured construction—aramid strength fibres and an additional steel jacket beneath a TPE sheath—to deliver 48 Gbps bandwidth and support resolutions up to 7680x4320@60Hz and 3840x2160@120Hz while maintaining a slim 6 mm diameter and mechanical protection for professional use.

Advantages

This hybrid cable provides uncompressed signal amplification for reliable long-distance HDMI 8K transmission that passive cables cannot achieve. The armoured construction offers high crush resistance (up to 2000 N) and a maximum pulling force of 100 N, while remaining flexible. Rugged, gold-plated HDMI Type A connectors are protected with special sleeves to prevent transport damage. The cable supports 48 Gbps bandwidth, HDMI 2.1 features and both static and dynamic HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for wider colour gamut and improved contrast.

Suitable for

• Long-distance AV signal extension for live events and trade shows
• Professional installations and rental applications
• High-resolution home theatre or studio setups requiring HDMI 2.1 bandwidth
• Situations needing robust cable protection and EMI/RFI resistance

How to use

Connect each HDMI Type A connector to the corresponding HDMI ports on source and display devices. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and that active cable electronics have appropriate ventilation. Avoid sharp bends and do not exceed the specified maximum pulling force. For optimal signal quality, connect directly to devices or through compatible AV equipment that supports HDMI 2.1 features.

Recommendations

Use this cable in fixed or temporary professional AV installations where long-distance, high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 transmission and mechanical protection are required. Avoid routing the cable near strong electrical noise sources when possible, and inspect connector sleeves before transport to ensure continued protection.
