• Storage area network (SAN) and high-throughput storage connectivity

Key specifications

• Manufacturer: HP Enterprise (HPE)
• Manufacturer part number (MPN): 487655-B21
• Cable type: InfiniBand / fibre optic
• Cable length: 3 m
• Category: Network cable

How to use

Select compatible InfiniBand or fibre-capable ports on your servers, switches or storage devices, align the connector ends and insert them until they engage securely according to the equipment’s port design. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive strain; secure it within the rack or cabinet to prevent movement. Verify link status on connected devices and test throughput according to your operational procedures.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the HPE 487655-B21 in configurations supported by your hardware vendor, avoid tight bends or kinks, and maintain ambient conditions within the equipment specifications. Periodically inspect connectors for contamination and clean with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools when required.
