The EFB Elektronik K8093.20 RJ-45 Cat5e 20 m Green networking cable is a Cat5e U/UTP cable with RJ-45 connectors and gold-plated contacts intended for wired network connections. At 20 metres length it provides a balance between reach and signal integrity for office desks, network cabinets and home installations. The cable supports data transfer rates up to 2500 Mbit/s and is offered in a green outer jacket for easy visual identification in multi-cable environments.

Advantages

This networking cable combines standardized Cat5e performance with RJ-45 terminations and gold-plated contacts to provide consistent electrical connection and reduced contact corrosion. The 20 m length removes the need for intermediate patch points in many setups, while the green jacket helps organize and separate runs. Its U/UTP construction is suitable for typical structured cabling and Ethernet applications where balanced pairs are used.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers within offices or homes
• Patch connections in network cabinets and wall outlets
• Temporary or permanent cabling where 20 m reach is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Cable type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Length: 20 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data transfer rate: up to 2500 Mbit/s
• Colour: green

How to use

Route the cable between network devices avoiding sharp bends and tight bundles that could stress the pairs. Insert the RJ-45 plugs fully into the device ports until they click to ensure secure contact. For wall or cabinet installations consider securing the cable with clips or Velcro straps to prevent movement and to maintain bend radius. Test the connection using a network tester or by checking link/activity LEDs on connected devices to confirm proper operation.

Recommendations

Place the cable away from high-voltage power lines and sources of electromagnetic interference to preserve signal quality. Use appropriate cable management to avoid physical damage and replace the cable if connector contacts become loose or corroded.
