InLine καλώδιο Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 σε 4x SFF-8482 + τροφοδοσία 1m

The InLine Mini SAS HD Cable SFF-8643 to 4x SFF-8482 + Power 1m is an internal cable for connecting a host or controller with a Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643) interface to up to four SAS drives or a backplane using SFF-8482 connectors that include power. At 1 metre length, the cable supports high-speed SAS data transfer and integrates data and power connections for direct attachment to server storage devices.

Advantages

This cable combines a single Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) plug with four SFF-8482 connectors that provide both signal and power, reducing the need for separate power leads. The 1 m length offers flexibility inside server chassis while keeping signal integrity for SAS connections. It is compatible with SAS controllers and backplanes that use the specified interfaces, enabling straightforward connection of multiple drives.

Suitable for

• Connecting a SAS controller with SFF-8643 output to up to four SAS drives with SFF-8482 power connectors
• Attaching drives to a backplane inside a server or storage enclosure
• Enterprise and data centre storage configurations requiring combined data and power cabling

Key specifications

• Brand: InLine
• Model / MPN: 27632B

How to use

Power off the server or storage chassis before installation. Plug the SFF-8643 connector into the Mini SAS HD port on the controller or host board, ensuring proper alignment. Connect the SFF-8482 connectors to the corresponding drive headers or backplane sockets; each SFF-8482 provides both data and power lines for a single drive. Route the cable inside the chassis to avoid sharp bends and secure it to prevent strain on the connectors. Restore power and verify drive recognition in the system BIOS or RAID controller utility.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this cable with compatible SAS controllers and backplanes; avoid excessive bending or compression of the cable, and replace the cable if connector pins appear damaged. Follow the server manufacturer's guidelines for drive hot-swap and power procedures.
