Rittal GA 9117.210 is an aluminium electrical enclosure with external dimensions 280 × 111 × 232 mm (W × D × H). Designed to house electrical and electronic components, it provides a compact protective cabinet for connections, terminal blocks and small control modules. The enclosure features a corrosion-resistant aluminium body that balances mechanical strength with reduced weight, making it suitable for both panel and surface mounting in industrial and commercial environments.

Advantages

The aluminium construction ensures good thermal dissipation and resistance to environmental factors compared with untreated steel, while remaining lightweight for easier handling and installation. The compact footprint conserves space in control cabinets or on walls, and the neutral internal volume accommodates common electrical accessories such as terminal strips and small relays. The enclosure’s drilled and gasketed design provides basic protection for components and supports standard mounting methods.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a flat surface or panel using appropriate fasteners for the installation substrate. Open the enclosure, position and secure internal components such as DIN-rail mounted terminal blocks or small control modules, and route wiring through prepared knockouts or cable entries. Ensure that cable entry points are sealed or fitted with suitable gland fittings to maintain environmental protection. After wiring and component fixation, close and fasten the enclosure cover to secure the assembly.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the enclosure within its mechanical and thermal limits, avoid exposure to aggressive chemicals or continuous high-humidity environments unless additional sealing or protective measures are applied. Select appropriate cable glands and gaskets when sealing cable entries and follow local electrical codes and mounting guidelines for safe installation.
