AXIS A9188-VE Network I/O Relay Module, delivered with the AXIS T98A15-VE Surveillance Cabinet, is an outdoor-ready, vandal-resistant, and UL294-approved unit designed for access control and facility integration. The module provides eight configurable inputs/outputs and relays and can supply power to connected I/O devices. It is optimized for floor access management and can operate as part of a larger system with the AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller or as a standalone device, responding to inputs such as PIR motion detectors or switches to trigger actions.

Advantages

The unit combines weather- and vandal-protection with a flexible I/O configuration, enabling both local standalone operation and deep integration with access-control systems. Eight configurable I/Os and multiple relays extend the functionality of Axis installations where additional control points are needed. The included surveillance cabinet simplifies outdoor deployment and ensures compliance with UL294.

Suitable for

• Floor access management in multi-tenant or multi-floor buildings
• Outdoor access-control installations requiring vandal resistance
• Integration with AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller and other facility systems
• Standalone control of doors, gates, or alarm inputs triggered by PIR detectors or switches

Key specifications

• Model: AXIS A9188-VE Network I/O Relay Module (packaged with AXIS T98A15-VE Surveillance Cabinet)
• Configurable I/Os: 8 inputs/outputs
• Relay outputs: multiple relays (as provided by manufacturer)
• Power: supplies power to connected I/O devices
• Approvals: UL294

How to use

Install the AXIS A9188-VE module inside the supplied AXIS T98A15-VE Surveillance Cabinet at the desired outdoor location, following applicable mounting and wiring guidelines. Connect PIR motion detectors, switches, door locks, or other I/O devices to the configurable inputs and outputs. Configure the module either to operate standalone—defining input-triggered relay actions locally—or integrate it with an AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller or building management system for centralized control and event handling.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor operation, verify cabinet sealing and mounting location, ensure correct power supply within specified voltage ranges for connected I/O devices, and follow AXIS installation instructions when integrating with A1001 controllers or other systems.
