ICY BOX IB-170SK-B - Κινητή βάση αποθήκευσης - 3.5 (8.9 cm)

The ICY BOX IB-170SK-B is a 5.25" storage drive tray for one 3.5" SATA hard disk drive with a maximum height of 1". It installs into a standard 5.25" bay and supports SATA I/II/III transfer rates up to 6 Gbit/s using a high-quality NSS (no scratch SATA) connector. The tray is made of aluminium for improved heat dissipation and comes in black. AC and SATA cables are included for easy connection.

Advantages

Constructed from special aluminium, the IB-170SK-B offers improved cooling performance compared with typical steel trays. An integrated fan has been enlarged from 3 cm to 4 cm, which increases cooling efficiency and reduces noise. The unit supports HotSwap and Plug & Play for quick drive changes without powering down the system. A mechanical lock prevents unauthorized removal of the drive, and an LED indicates power and HDD access.

Suitable for

• Adding a single 3.5" SATA HDD into a desktop or server front bay
• Applications that require HotSwap capability for easy drive replacement
• Systems needing improved passive and active cooling for a single 3.5" drive

The unit supports HotSwap and Plug & Play, so drives can be replaced while the system is running if your motherboard and OS also support HotSwap.

Recommendations

For optimal thermal performance, ensure the tray's fan is unobstructed and maintain adequate case airflow. Use the mechanical lock to prevent unauthorized removal, and verify HotSwap support in your system before performing live drive swaps.
