ICY DOCK flexiDOCK MB522SP-B - Θήκη για μονάδες αποθήκευσης - 2.5 (6,4 cm) - Μαύρο (MB522SP-B)

The ICY DOCK FlexiDOCK MB522SP-B is a professional 2.5" SSD/HDD docking designed to fit into an external 3.5" floppy drive bay. It converts an unused 3.5" bay into two hot‑swappable slots that accept 2.5" SATA/SAS drives with heights from 5 mm to 9.5 mm. Both slots support full SATA 6 Gb/s transfer rates and SATA hot‑swap functionality. The tray‑less, flush‑fit design keeps drives fully inserted inside the chassis for better protection and a neat system appearance, while metal construction and ventilation slots provide passive heat dissipation. Individual eject buttons include blue activity LEDs for simple drive status monitoring.

Advantages

The FlexiDOCK MB522SP-B provides quick access to multiple 2.5" drives without trays or screws, enabling fast hot‑swaps directly from a desktop 3.5" bay. Its tray‑less, door‑less mechanism reduces drive handling time and the smart ejection system keeps drives fully enclosed to minimize physical damage and improve system aesthetics. Full SATA 6 Gb/s support and compatibility with SATA hot‑swap make it suitable for tasks that require frequent drive changes, while metal chassis and ventilation improve drive cooling.

Suitable for

• Daily data backup to multiple 2.5" HDD/SSD
• On‑site video/photo editing from 2.5" SSDs (including high bitrate formats)
• Cloning drives or migrating OS between HDD and SSD
• Digital forensics and drive recovery workflows
• Systems requiring frequent hot‑swap: workstations, rackmount servers, industrial PCs

How to use

Install the FlexiDOCK MB522SP-B into an external 3.5" drive bay and connect the internal SATA power and data cables to the host system. Insert a 2.5" drive into one of the two slots until the eject button pops out and the activity LED illuminates. To remove a drive, press the corresponding eject button; the smart ejection mechanism will smoothly push the drive out for retrieval. No trays or screws are required for drive installation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use 2.5" drives within the supported height range (5–9.5 mm), ensure proper SATA connections, and allow airflow around the chassis. The FlexiDOCK is intended for frequent hot‑swap tasks such as backups, cloning, and media editing; avoid excessive mechanical shock while drives are inserted or being removed.
