It supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5000 Mbit/s and can be installed externally using the included power adapter or internally in a 3.5" drive bay. Three interchangeable front panels in black, silver and beige are included to match different system colours. Compatible operating systems include Windows XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS 10.5/10.6 and Linux. For internal installation, mount the hub into an empty 3.5" drive bay, connect the hub to the PC power supply with the provided power cable and route the USB 3.0 cable to an internal or external USB header as required. After connecting, the operating system should detect the hub automatically; install drivers only if your OS prompts for them.

Recommendations

To achieve full USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds, connect compatible USB 3.x devices and use a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Use the dedicated power port when connecting devices that require additional power, such as external drives or charging devices. Choose the front panel that best matches your system to maintain a clean appearance.
