The Hama 00200116 USB Hub is a compact 4-port hub with USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1) Type-A and Type-C host interfaces. It supports super speed data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps (5000 Mbit/s) and draws power directly from the USB connection. The hub measures 53 × 53 × 13 mm, comes in black, and includes a 0.15 m cable, making it suitable for desktop and portable use with Windows and Mac systems.

Advantages

The hub delivers high transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps for fast file transfers, offers four downstream USB Type-A ports for connecting multiple peripherals, and includes Type-C compatibility on the host side for modern computers. Its compact, lightweight design and short integrated cable simplify placement and transport. The device is plug-and-play and compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7 and Mac OS X 10.8 without additional drivers.

How to use

Plug the hub’s integrated cable into a compatible USB Type-A or Type-C host port on your computer, depending on the host connector provided. Once connected, the hub is recognised automatically by supported operating systems. Insert USB devices into any of the four Type-A ports to begin data transfers or to use peripherals. Ensure attached devices are powered as required; the hub supplies standard USB power but does not provide additional external power.

Recommendations

Use the hub on a stable surface and avoid placing heavy objects on top. For reliably high data throughput, connect high-speed storage devices directly to the hub’s USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and keep cable length between host and hub short. If multiple power-hungry devices are used simultaneously, consider connecting powered peripherals or a dedicated powered hub.
