Hama Classic Plastic Velvet μαύρο 13mm

The Hama Classic Plastic Velvet Black 13mm is a black, 13 mm wide trim made from durable plastic with a velvet surface. Designed for trimming and finishing edges or for use as a decorative profile, the product combines a resistant plastic core with a soft-touch velvet coating that reduces visible reflections and gives a subtle matte appearance. Its compact width and neutral black colour make it suitable for integration into a wide range of interiors and projects where a slim, discreet edge treatment is required.

Advantages

The plastic construction offers resistance to moisture and general wear while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. The velvet finish provides an even, low-gloss surface that minimizes fingerprints and surface glare. At 13 mm width the profile is narrow enough for fine detailing yet wide enough to present a continuous, even line across joins and edges. The black colour provides a neutral, professional look that complements different materials and colour schemes.

Suitable for

• Edge finishing on furniture, panels and shelves
• Decorative trim on walls, doors and frames
• Concealing small gaps between materials
• Renovation and light DIY projects requiring narrow profiles

Key specifications

• Width: 13 mm
• Material: durable plastic core with velvet surface
• Colour: Black
• Surface finish: velvet / low-gloss
• Form factor: narrow trim/profile suitable for edge application

How to use

Measure and cut the 13 mm profile to the required length using appropriate cutting tools for plastic. Prepare the application surface by ensuring it is clean, dry and free of dust or grease. Attach the profile using a suitable adhesive or mounting method compatible with the substrate; press firmly to ensure contact along the full length. Allow any adhesive to cure according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before applying load or stress to the joint. For continuous runs, align ends precisely and, if necessary, use a small joint treatment to hide seams.

Recommendations

Store the product away from direct sunlight and excessive heat to preserve the velvet finish. Test adhesion on a small area if using a new adhesive or on sensitive surfaces. Clean the velvet surface with a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth if necessary; avoid abrasive cleaners to maintain the texture.
