The Hama 00205215 coaxial connector is a white, single-piece adapter designed to join coaxial cables with a 7 mm outer diameter. Supplied in a hanging box, the connector provides a compact solution for creating reliable connections between audio and video devices that use standard coaxial cabling. Its simple design focuses on secure mechanical contact and straightforward installation for domestic or professional AV setups.

Advantages

This coaxial connector is compact and lightweight, offering a neutral white finish that blends with typical cable installations. The 7 mm outer diameter compatibility ensures fit with many common coaxial cable types. Packaged as a single unit in a hanging box, the connector is easy to store and identify. The design aims to maintain signal integrity by providing stable mechanical contact between cable ends.

Suitable for

• Joining or extending coaxial cables in home AV systems
• Connecting TV antennas, set-top boxes or cable modem leads
• Temporary or permanent installations where a compact inline connector is required

Key specifications

• Outer diameter compatibility: 7 mm
• Colour: white
• Packaging: single piece in a hanging box
• Connector type: coaxial inline adapter

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable ends by ensuring clean, undamaged conductors and correct stripping to expose the inner conductor and outer shield according to the cable manufacturer’s guidelines. Insert the cable ends into the connector until a secure mechanical fit is achieved. Verify the connection is firm and that the inner conductors make contact without shorting to the outer shield. After installation, test the audio/video signal to confirm continuity and adequate reception.

Recommendations

For optimal signal performance, use the connector with cables that match the specified 7 mm outer diameter and avoid excessive bending or strain at the junction. Regularly inspect the connector for corrosion or physical damage in outdoor or high-humidity environments and replace if any degradation is observed.
