The DeLOCK Optical fiber quick connector SC Simplex plug APC field-assembly provides a fast, secure connection for single‑mode optical fibers. Designed for field assembly, this SC/APC simplex plug allows quick installation without splicing and is suitable for FTTH and CATV applications. The connector is available in black and green and matches standard SC/APC interfaces for reliable fiber links.

Advantages

This quick connector enables tool-free, field assembly of an SC/APC simplex plug, reducing installation time and the need for fusion splicing. Its APC angled-polish ferrule minimizes back reflection for single-mode networks. The color options (black and green) help identify connector type and polarity, supporting organized installations in FTTH and CATV environments.

How to use

Prepare the single‑mode fiber according to standard stripping and cleaning procedures, then insert the fiber into the quick connector following the manufacturer's assembly steps. Secure the fiber in the connector body and verify the mechanical connection. After assembly, plug the SC/APC simplex connector into the matching adapter or equipment port and check optical continuity and return loss to confirm a proper connection.

Recommendations

Use with single‑mode fibers intended for APC connectors and perform proper fiber cleaning before assembly. Verify polarity and test insertion loss and return loss after installation to ensure network performance.
