Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Alcasa LW-820LS5 20 m LC SC πράσινο

The Alcasa LW-820LS5 20 m LC SC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connector on one end and SC connector on the other. With a 50 µm core diameter and a 20-metre length, this fibre cable is designed for high-speed data transmission across short to medium distances in structured cabling and network equipment interconnects. The green outer jacket identifies it as OM5 multimode fibre, suitable for wavelength division multiplexing and enhanced bandwidth applications within data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks.

Advantages

The cable provides consistent multimode performance with a 50 µm core that supports high data rates and low insertion loss. Its LC and SC connectors offer reliable physical mating and easy installation into standard patch panels and transceivers. The single-length design simplifies cable runs and reduces intermediate splicing. The green jacket improves identification in mixed-fibre environments, helping maintain organised cabling infrastructure.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and short-range interconnects
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections within racks
• Enterprise LAN backbone and horizontal cabling where OM5 is specified
• Applications using shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM)

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Cable length: 20 m
• Jacket colour: green (OM5 identification)
• Typical use: indoor patching and equipment interconnects

How to use

Route the 20 m cable through the cable management paths or conduits designated for fibre runs, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges to preserve the fibre bend radius. Clean the LC and SC connector end-faces with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools before mating to reduce insertion loss and back reflection. Insert the LC and SC connectors into the corresponding ports on patch panels, transceivers or equipment until they latch; verify link status and optical power where applicable. Coil any excess length neatly in a cable management tray to prevent kinks.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment. Do not exceed the recommended minimum bend radius and protect connectors with dust caps until installation. Use OM5-compatible transceivers and ensure patching follows the network design to benefit from multimode SWDM and enhanced bandwidth characteristics.
