Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Alcasa 20m SC/SC

The Alcasa 20m SC/SC fibre optic cable from Good Connections is a 20-metre duplex link designed for high-speed data transmission in professional networking environments. Built with OM3 multimode fibre and a 50 µm core diameter, it supports short-range, high-bandwidth applications where consistent signal quality is required. Both ends are terminated with SC connectors for straightforward insertion into compatible equipment sockets and patch panels.

Advantages

This SC/SC fibre cable provides low insertion loss and high return loss characteristics typical of OM3 multimode fibre, helping maintain signal integrity across the full 20-metre length. The duplex construction enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for full-duplex communication. SC connectors offer a stable push-pull coupling with simple installation and reliable mechanical retention suitable for rack-mounted and panel-mounted systems.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and horizontal interconnects
• High-performance computing clusters and server links
• Telecommunications equipment and optical distribution frames
• LAN backbone segments and campus network links

Key specifications

• Length: 20 metres
• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC duplex
• Number of fibres: 2 (duplex)
• Typical use: short-range high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Connect each SC connector to the corresponding SC port on your transceivers, patch panel, or network device, ensuring correct orientation and a clean connector end-face. Use the duplex cable to maintain correct transmit/receive pairing; if necessary swap the pair at one end to match device TX/RX assignments. Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and keep connectors capped when not in use to prevent contamination.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean connector end-faces with approved fibre cleaning tools before insertion. Route the cable using cable management trays or clips, maintain the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre, and secure connections to prevent strain. For optimal performance in high-density environments, combine with compatible OM3-rated transceivers and patching hardware.
