Fujitsu 2x πίσω μονάδα υποδοχής 2,5 ιντσών SAS/SATA HDD/SSD PY-BA22S4

Rear drive bay module Fujitsu PY-BA22S4 accepts two 2.5" SAS or SATA HDD/SSD devices and is intended for mounting at the rear of compatible Fujitsu servers or chassis. The module provides connection and physical support for dual 2.5" drives and enables hot-swap operation when used with systems that support rear hot-plug bays. The design matches Fujitsu rear bay form factors and connector alignment to ensure reliable integration with matching server models.

Advantages

This rear 2.5" bay module allows easy expansion of storage capacity without front-bay reconfiguration and supports both SAS and SATA interfaces to accommodate mixed-drive environments. Its compact dual-drive layout increases storage density in confined chassis space and preserves front drive bays for other uses. When the host system supports hot-swap, the module simplifies drive replacement and maintenance with minimal downtime.

Suitable for

• Addition of secondary or auxiliary storage in compatible Fujitsu servers
• Deployments requiring compact dual 2.5" drive bays at the rear of a chassis
• Systems configured for RAID using small form-factor SAS or SATA drives
• Maintenance workflows that benefit from rear hot-swap access

Key specifications

• Drive type supported: 2.5" HDD or SSD
• Interface compatibility: SAS and SATA drives supported
• Drive count: Two 2.5" drives per module
• Mounting location: Rear bay for compatible Fujitsu chassis/servers
• Hot-swap support: Depends on host system hot-plug capability
• Form factor: Dual 2.5" bay module designed for matching Fujitsu rear bay chassis

How to use

Install the module into the designated rear bay slot of a compatible Fujitsu server or chassis following the server manufacturer's installation instructions. Insert each 2.5" SAS or SATA drive into the module until it seats and engages the connector; secure drives per the module's retention mechanism if present. Verify that the host system BIOS/firmware and storage controllers recognize the newly added drives and configure RAID or drive settings as required by the system administrator.

Recommendations

Ensure compatibility by checking the server or chassis model documentation for supported rear bay modules and hot-swap capability. Use matching drive types and speeds where RAID consistency is important, and follow ESD precautions when handling drives and the module. Confirm firmware and controller support for mixed SAS/SATA environments if both drive types will be used.
