Fiber-Panel ACT Fiber 24 x Duplex-LC Multimode OM4

The ACT Fiber panel Fiber 24 x duplex LC multimode OM4 is a rack-mountable fiber optic patch panel designed to accommodate 24 duplex LC multimode OM4 connections in a compact, black housing. It centralizes multimode OM4 connections for structured cabling systems and provides a tidy front-facing interface for patching and cable management. The panel supports high-bandwidth multimode links commonly used in server rooms, telecom racks and data distribution closets.

Advantages

This fiber panel offers a dense port layout for 24 duplex LC multimode OM4 channels within a single rack unit footprint, enabling efficient use of rack space and simplified patching. The black enclosure is designed for compatibility with standard 19-inch racks and contributes to an organized cable path. Front-facing LC duplex ports make insertion and removal of patch cords straightforward while reducing cable strain and potential connector damage.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the panel into a standard 19-inch rack using the mounting holes provided and secure it with appropriate rack screws. Route multimode OM4 fiber trunks to the rear of the panel and terminate them to the internal adapters or pigtails as applicable. Connect LC duplex patch cords from the front-facing ports to transceivers or other patch panels. Maintain proper bend radii for multimode fibers and use cable ties or managers to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Allow enough slack for fiber movement and avoid tight bends near the panel. Use OM4-rated patch cords and maintain cleanliness of LC connector end-faces with appropriate cleaning tools. Label ports for clear identification and periodically inspect connections for dust or damage to ensure optimal high-speed performance.
