How to use

Install the Sonoff Basic R5 Gen5 into the desired wiring point following local electrical regulations and the user manual. After connecting power and load, add the device to the eWeLink app by scanning the QR code, or pair it directly with a Matter‑compatible ecosystem. Control the relay via the app, the physical push button on the device, or by voice with Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant. Create scenes and schedules in the app or your smart‑home platform to automate daily tasks. For local operation without internet, use LAN control or near‑field mode (up to 10 m).

Recommendations

Use the switch only within its rated voltage and current (100–240 V, max. 10 A). For inductive loads (motors, pumps) verify the starting current and, if necessary, use an appropriately rated relay or contactor. Ensure wiring is performed by a qualified person and follow safety instructions in the manual. Avoid installation in environments outside the specified temperature and humidity ranges.
