Εξωτερικός σκληρός δίσκος Apricorn 2TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Aegis Padlock

The Apricorn Aegis Padlock 2TB is a portable external hard drive with integrated keypad security and hardware AES-XTS 256-bit encryption. It connects via an integrated USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) cable for high-speed transfers up to 5 Gbps while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The drive is designed and assembled in the U.S.A., features a compact rugged black housing with shock mounting, and offers software-free operation that requires no admin rights.

Advantages

The Aegis Padlock provides real-time, military-grade encryption without installing software, protecting data at rest including PINs and encryption keys. Its integrated USB cable and wear-resistant keypad simplify everyday use and reduce accessory needs. Built-in security measures — including VTC timing protection, a sealed epoxy-coated encryption module, auto-lock, brute-force self-destruct, and a drive reset option — help prevent unauthorized access and make the device suitable for secure transport and deployment in corporate environments.

Suitable for

• Secure transport and backup of sensitive files
• Use with laptops and desktops across Windows, macOS and Linux
• Corporate deployment requiring hardware-based encryption without admin installation
• Field workers and travel where a compact, rugged drive is needed

How to use

Connect the integrated USB cable to a compatible USB port on your computer. Set up an Admin PIN and, optionally, up to five User PINs directly on the device keypad; no software installation or admin rights are required. Enter a valid PIN at the keypad to unlock the drive and access files. If needed, use the Admin PIN to unlock or re-enroll users. To clear all data and reset the device, perform the drive reset command using the keypad instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Store the device in a secure location when not in use, enable the auto-lock feature for unattended scenarios, and keep a record of admin PIN procedures in a separate, secure place. Regularly back up critical data; a reset or self-destruct event irreversibly erases stored information.
