Εξωτερική θήκη NVMe SSD Satechi ST-E2230M USB-C για 2230 NVMe SSD Space Gray

Compact external NVMe SSD enclosure Satechi ST-E2230M USB-C is designed to house 2230 form-factor NVMe drives and turn them into a portable high-speed storage device. The Space Gray aluminum housing provides lightweight protection and passive heat dissipation while a USB-C interface enables fast data transfer with compatible hosts. This enclosure is suitable for expanding storage, creating mobile backups and transferring large files between computers and devices.

Advantages

The aluminum body combines physical protection with improved thermal performance to help maintain consistent transfer speeds during sustained use. Native USB-C connectivity supports plug-and-play operation with many laptops and desktops and allows use with USB-C hubs and docking stations. Its compact 2230-specific form factor keeps overall dimensions minimal, making the enclosure easy to carry in a laptop bag or pocket. Tool-free or simple screw access enables quick installation and replacement of the NVMe module.

Suitable for

• Expanding storage capacity for ultrabooks and compact laptops
• Creating portable backups of important files and photo libraries
• Transferring large media files between workstations
• Using a spare 2230 NVMe drive as external fast storage

Key specifications

• Compatible SSD form factor: 2230 NVMe
• Interface to host: USB-C
• Enclosure material: aluminum (Space Gray finish)
• Cooling: passive heatsink via metal housing
• Power: bus-powered via USB-C (no external adapter required)
• Installation: user-installable NVMe module with simple access

How to use

Open the enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible 2230 NVMe SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it. Close the housing, connect the enclosure to a computer using a USB-C cable and allow the host operating system to recognize the drive. If required, initialize, partition and format the SSD using the operating system’s disk management tools before first use. For data transfer, copy files using standard file manager operations or use backup and disk-cloning utilities as needed.

Recommendations

For best sustained performance, avoid covering the aluminum housing while performing extended large transfers; allow air circulation so the enclosure can dissipate heat. Use a quality USB-C cable rated for data transfer and, if available, connect to a USB-C port that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 or higher for maximum throughput. Regularly back up important data and handle the enclosure carefully to avoid mechanical shocks.
