Ethernet PoE Switch QOLTEC 52296 — 4x θύρες RJ45 PoE, 1x RJ45 Uplink

QOLTEC 52296 is an Ethernet PoE switch designed to combine network connectivity and power delivery over standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. The device offers four RJ45 ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability and one RJ45 uplink port for connection to a router, core switch or network gateway. Compact and straightforward, the switch is intended for small office, retail or home deployments where a few powered devices need reliable data links and simplified wiring.

Advantages

The switch integrates power and data transmission into a single unit, reducing the need for separate power supplies at each endpoint. With four PoE-enabled ports, it supports simultaneous powering of multiple devices while preserving a separate uplink for aggregation. Its compact footprint and plug-and-play operation minimize installation time and require no specialized network configuration for basic deployment. The use of standard RJ45 connectors ensures compatibility with common Ethernet devices and cabling.

Suitable for

• Connecting IP cameras for surveillance systems in small offices or homes
• Powering and linking wireless access points to extend Wi‑Fi coverage
• Supplying VoIP phones in a small office environment
• Deployments where combined data and power over Ethernet simplifies installation

Key specifications

• Ports: 4x RJ45 with PoE, 1x RJ45 uplink
• PoE support: power delivered over standard Ethernet pairs (IEEE 802.3af/at compatibility should be verified if required)
• Cabling: compatible with Cat5e and Cat6 Ethernet cables
• Form factor: compact desktop/shelf mount suitable for small installations

How to use

Place the switch in a well-ventilated location near the router or network aggregation point. Connect the uplink RJ45 port to your router or main switch using an appropriate Ethernet cable. Plug PoE-capable devices such as IP cameras, access points or VoIP phones into the four PoE RJ45 ports; the switch will provide data and power over the same cable. Ensure connected devices are compatible with the switch's PoE class and power budget. For basic setups, no additional configuration is required; managed features are not necessary for simple powering and connectivity.

Recommendations

Verify the power requirements of connected devices and the total available PoE budget to avoid overloading the switch. Use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for reliable power delivery and data integrity, and place the switch in a dry, ventilated area away from heat sources. If longer cable runs or higher power devices are needed, confirm compatibility with the device's PoE standard before deployment.
