Equip Ενεργό Οπτικό Καλώδιο DisplayPort 1.4, 20m, 8K/60Hz

The Equip DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable 20m (MPN 119442) is a 20-metre high-performance cable for transmitting digital video signals over long distances. It supports the DisplayPort 1.4 standard and is designed for professional setups that require reliable, long-distance video links with minimal signal loss. The cable features DisplayPort connectors on both ends, a black jacket and an embedded active module that converts electrical signals to optical signals for transmission over fiber.

Advantages

This DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable transmits signals up to 20 metres without repeaters while maintaining support for resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz where supported by source and display. It supports HDR and Display Stream Compression (DSC) for higher effective bandwidth, is immune to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, and is lighter and thinner than equivalent copper cables, simplifying installation in constrained or interference-prone environments. The cable complies with RoHS and CE standards.

Suitable for

• Long-distance video connections between PCs, workstations and monitors in studios or control rooms
• Professional AV installations and digital signage requiring 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz capability
• Environments with high electromagnetic interference where copper cables may underperform

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Standard: DisplayPort 1.4
• Supported resolutions: up to 8K @ 60 Hz and 4K @ 120 Hz (subject to source/display capabilities)
• Features: HDR, DSC (Display Stream Compression)
• Connectors: DisplayPort to DisplayPort
• Weight: 0.51 kg
• Colour: Black
• Compliance: RoHS, CE

How to use

Connect one DisplayPort connector to the source device (PC, workstation or media player) and the other to the DisplayPort input of the monitor or display. Ensure both devices support the desired resolution and refresh rate and configure display settings in the operating system or GPU control panel as needed. No external power or repeaters are required for operation at the specified 20 m length; handle connectors carefully to avoid strain on the active modules.

Recommendations

For best results, verify that both source and display firmware/driver versions fully support DisplayPort 1.4 features (HDR, DSC) and use quality DisplayPort sources and displays to achieve the advertised resolutions and refresh rates. Avoid sharp bends near the connector ends and secure the cable to prevent mechanical stress.
