Ενσύρματος αισθητήρας Steinel IS 1

The Steinel IS 1 wired sensor provides automatic light control using infrared motion detection. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the unit features a 120° detection angle, a detection range of up to 10 m, and an IP54 protection rating. Compact dimensions and clearly arranged terminals simplify wall or ceiling mounting and wiring. Time and twilight thresholds are adjustable via an accessible control dial, and the sensor lens can be rotated and tilted to adapt the detection zone; included shrouds allow further limitation of the coverage.

Advantages

The IS 1 offers reliable motion-triggered switching with energy-saving automatic ON/OFF control and adjustable sensitivity. Its compact, unobtrusive housing and versatile mounting options suit different room situations. Installation is simplified by spacious terminal compartments and the option to conceal or surface-mount the supply lead. The device meets IP54 requirements for protection against dust and splashes and operates on standard 230–240 V AC.

Suitable for

• Outdoor entrance lighting and porch areas
• Indoor corridors, stairwells and utility rooms
• Security and convenience lighting around buildings

Key specifications

• Detection angle: 120° (lens rotatable by 30° and tiltable by 180°)
• Detection range: up to 10 m
• Supply: 230–240 V AC, 50 Hz
• Protection class: IP54 (dust and splash protection)
• Dimensions: 80 × 120 × 50 mm (W × D × H)
• Connections: clearly arranged terminal compartments for easy wiring
• EAN: 4007841600419

How to use

Mount the sensor on a wall or ceiling at a location that provides optimal coverage of the area to be monitored. Adjust the lens rotation and tilt to align the 120° detection zone, and fit the supplied shrouds if a reduced detection area is required. Connect the supply and load to the terminal compartments following local wiring regulations. Set the desired time delay and twilight threshold using the control dial to match the required operating behavior.

Recommendations

The IS 1 performs best when installed at recommended mounting heights and angled toward the traffic flow; avoid mounting opposite large heat sources or reflective surfaces that can affect detection. For outdoor installations ensure cable entries are sealed to maintain IP54 protection.
