Ενσύρματος αισθητήρας Steinel IS 1

The Steinel IS 1 wired sensor is a compact motion detector designed for reliable automatic lighting control. It features a 120° detection angle, up to 10 m range, and IP54 protection for outdoor use. The sensor is powered from AC mains (230–240 V, 50 Hz) and has an unobtrusive design with adjustable lens and simple wiring for wall or ceiling mounting.

Advantages

The IS 1 uses infrared motion detection and light-level sensing to switch lights on and off automatically, reducing energy consumption. Its sensor lens can rotate 30° and tilt 180° to align the 120° detection zone with the room layout, and supplied shrouds allow restricting the detection area. Time delay and twilight threshold are adjustable via an accessible control dial, and clearly arranged terminals simplify connection and installation.

Suitable for

• Outdoor entrance and porch lighting
• Garage and carport illumination
• Pathways, stairs and service areas
• Small commercial or utility areas requiring motion-triggered lighting

Key specifications

• Detection angle: 120° (adjustable lens: rotate 30°, tilt 180°)
• Detection range: up to 10 m
• Supply voltage: 230–240 V AC, 50 Hz
• Protection class: IP54 (suitable for outdoor use)
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 80 × 120 × 50 mm
• Brand / MPN / EAN: Steinel / IS1-W / 4007841600310

How to use

Mount the sensor on a wall or ceiling, route the supply lead either concealed or surface-mounted and connect using the clearly marked terminal compartments. Position and align the sensor lens by rotating or tilting to cover the desired area; use the supplied shrouds if you need to limit detection zones. Set the required presence time and twilight threshold using the accessible control dial. Once powered, the sensor will switch the connected lighting on when motion is detected and ambient light is below the set threshold, and off after the set time without motion.

Recommendations

For reliable detection, install the IS 1 at a height and angle that points toward expected movement paths. Avoid pointing the sensor directly at heat sources or reflective surfaces. For outdoor installation, ensure cabling and mounting comply with local electrical regulations and IP54 protection is maintained.
