Digitus Έγχρωμα Pigtails SC OS2 09/125 µ Simplex 2m

The DIGITUS Fiber Optic Colored Pigtails are LC, SC or ST simplex fiber pigtails available in OS2, OM2, OM3 and OM4 classes to ensure high performance and reliable link quality. This specific item is a 2 m SC simplex pigtail with a 9/125 µm singlemode core (OS2) and a zirconia ceramic ferrule. Colored buffers follow IEC 304 color coding for easy identification.

Advantages

Colored buffers provide clear visual identification according to IEC 304, reducing installation errors. The SC simplex connector conforms to IEC 61754-4 and uses a zirconia ceramic ferrule for stable endface geometry and low insertion loss. The 2 m length and OS2 9/125 µm core are suitable for singlemode links that require low attenuation and consistent signal transmission.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and fiber distribution frames
• Splice enclosures and fiber termination points
• Data centers and telecom room backbones
• Singlemode fiber optic networks requiring color-coded pigtails

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC simplex
• Fiber class/type: OS2 (singlemode)
• Core/cladding: 9/125 µm
• Length: 2 m
• Ferrule material: Zirconia ceramic
• Buffer colors: IEC 304 color code (white, violet, turquoise, black, red, pink, orange, gray, green, yellow, brown, blue)
• Standards: Connector conforms to IEC 61754-4

How to use

Route the SC simplex pigtail from the splice or termination point to the patch panel or adapter and secure the buffer to strain-relief points according to your rack or enclosure practice. Clean the connector endface with approved fiber cleaning tools before mating. Insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC adapter until it clicks, ensuring correct alignment and minimal bend radius along the cable run.

Recommendations

Store unused pigtails in protective packaging to avoid dust and mechanical damage. Always clean connector endfaces before connection and follow site-specific bend-radius and strain-relief practices to maintain optical performance.
