Διακόπτης δικτύου EDIMAX GS-5424PLC V3 24x Gigabit Ethernet με PoE

EDIMAX GS-5424PLC V3 is a managed network switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. It is built to provide centralized wired connectivity and PoE power delivery for small and medium business environments, enabling simultaneous data and power transmission to devices such as IP phones, PoE cameras and wireless access points over standard Ethernet cabling.

Advantages

This managed switch supports full Gigabit throughput on all ports and supplies PoE to connected devices, reducing the need for separate power supplies and simplifying cabling. Centralized management features allow administrators to configure VLANs, QoS and traffic monitoring to prioritize voice and video traffic. Rack-mountable design and a durable metal enclosure provide stable operation in office or equipment room environments.

Suitable for

• Office networks with multiple IP phones and desktop PCs
• Surveillance systems with several PoE cameras
• Wireless deployments requiring PoE access points
• Retail or branch networks with managed switching needs

Key specifications

• Ports: 24 × Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE support
• Switching capacity: Gigabit wire-speed switching on all ports
• Management: Web GUI and SNMP support for configuration and monitoring
• Layer features: VLAN, QoS, link aggregation and basic L2 management functions
• Form factor: 1U rack-mountable metal chassis
• Power delivery: PoE supply across supported ports to power IP devices

How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch equipment rack or place it on a stable surface. Connect uplink to the network core using a Gigabit Ethernet port and attach end devices such as IP phones, cameras and access points to the PoE-enabled ports using Cat5e or higher cabling. Access the management interface through the web GUI or SNMP to configure network parameters, assign VLANs, set QoS rules and enable PoE scheduling if supported. Ensure the power budget is sufficient for all connected PoE devices and verify port status indicators during setup.

Recommendations

Plan PoE power allocation before deployment: calculate total power consumption of all connected devices and leave headroom for peak usage. Use quality shielded or unshielded twisted-pair cabling (Cat5e or better) and follow standard rack grounding practices. Regularly back up configuration settings and apply firmware updates from the manufacturer to maintain security and interoperability.
