How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack occupying one RU. Connect powered devices to the 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports and use the combo 10Gb ports or SFP+ uplinks for aggregation to core switches or servers. Configure management and Layer 3 settings via the device web interface or CLI according to your network plan, define VLANs, assign IP interfaces and apply security and QoS policies as required. Monitor PoE budget and port status during deployment to ensure adequate power for connected devices.

Recommendations

For stable operation, reserve sufficient PoE budget for peak device power draw, use quality SFP+/copper modules compatible with the OmniSwitch, and keep firmware up to date. Plan VLANs and L3 interfaces to match your network segmentation and routing needs to optimise performance and security.
