Διαχειριζόμενος διακόπτης Axis 01191-002

AXIS T8508 PoE+ Network Switch (model 01191-002) is an 8-port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch with Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support, designed for compact installation and quiet environments. The fan-less housing and small form factor make it suitable as an edge switch or for deployment near recording equipment. The switch includes an intuitive administrator interface with a graphical topology view that displays connected devices and their status. With a switching capacity of 20 Gbit/s and support for up to eight PoE cameras, it complements Axis recorders and simplifies surveillance system setup.

Advantages

The managed design provides centralized control and compliance with IEEE 802.1x for secure network access. PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) support delivers sufficient power to multiple connected devices without separate power supplies. A MAC address table of 8000 entries and Gigabit RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000) ensure reliable throughput and device identification. The fan-less, compact black enclosure reduces noise and allows installation in noise-sensitive locations.

Suitable for

• Small to medium surveillance deployments requiring PoE power delivery
• Edge switching near recorders or camera clusters
• Noise-sensitive environments such as offices or control rooms
• Networks requiring IEEE 802.1x authentication and managed switch features

How to use

Mount the AXIS T8508 in a suitable location near power and network endpoints. Connect network devices using the eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports and enable PoE on ports feeding cameras or other PoE devices. Use the web-based administrator interface to view the graphical topology, monitor device status, configure VLANs, and set security policies including IEEE 802.1x. Integrate the switch with Axis recorders to simplify discovery and recording setup.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, ensure total PoE power budget is sufficient for all connected PoE+ devices and place the switch in a ventilated area free from excessive heat. Keep firmware updated and configure authentication and network segmentation to maintain security.
