Διαχειριζόμενο switch PLANET GS-4210-8HP2S

PLANET GS-4210-8HP2S is a 1U rack-mountable managed Gigabit Ethernet switch with integrated IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ and dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 support. The unit provides 2 10/100/1000BASE-T ports with up to 95 W PoE++ each, 6 10/100/1000BASE-T ports with 36 W PoE+ each, and 2 SFP uplink ports. With a total PoE budget of up to 240 watts and a built-in L2/L4 switching engine, the GS-4210-8HP2S is designed for reliable delivery of power and data to devices such as PTZ cameras, thin clients and all-in-one touch PCs while providing managed switching, security and long-distance fiber uplink options.

Advantages

The GS-4210-8HP2S supports IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ to supply high-power PDs and includes intelligent PoE functions such as PD alive check, scheduled power recycling, PoE scheduling, PoE usage monitoring and PoE extension to 250 m. It offers robust Layer 2 features, L2–L4 ACLs, advanced QoS and cybersecurity protocols (SSHv2, TLS) alongside IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack management. A smart fan and compact metal housing ensure quiet, stable operation while two SFP slots with SFP-DDM provide flexible long-distance uplink capability.

Suitable for

• PoE PTZ speed dome cameras and other high-power surveillance devices
• Wireless access points and remote digital signage
• Thin clients and All-in-One touch PCs requiring PoE
• Small and medium business networks needing managed switching and security
• Environments requiring fiber uplink or extended PoE reach up to 250 m

How to use

Install the GS-4210-8HP2S in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a flat surface. Connect uplink fiber modules to the SFP ports as required and attach powered devices to the RJ-45 PoE ports. Use the web-based interface, Telnet or SNMP tools to configure IPv4/IPv6 settings, VLANs, QoS, ACLs and PoE management features such as PD alive check, PoE schedule and power recycling. Configure PoE extend mode on specific ports when longer-distance PoE delivery (up to 250 m at reduced speed) is required.

Recommendations

For stable operation, reserve sufficient PoE budget when planning device connections and enable PoE scheduling or power recycling for devices that benefit from periodic reboot. Use SFP-DDM diagnostics to monitor fiber transceiver status and apply SSH/TLS or SNMPv3 for secure remote management.
