Ensure the integrated flip is in the protective position when making or inspecting connections to limit exposure to laser radiation. Keep the dust cover on unused ports to prevent contamination of the ferrule and sleeve.

Recommendations

Use in accordance with fiber optic safety guidelines: avoid looking directly into connected fiber ends, verify connectors are clean before mating, and store the dust cap on unused ports. For installations in cabinets or patch panels, secure the coupler to avoid mechanical strain on the fibers.
