The KS Tools 117.4250 cable grommet is designed to provide a clean and secure pass-through for electrical and data cables through panels, desks, enclosures or other surfaces. Made to reduce chafing and abrasion, the grommet helps protect cable insulation at points where cables enter or exit routed openings. Its shape and material allow for stable positioning in cutouts while maintaining a neat appearance and helping to organize cable runs.

Advantages

The grommet provides a protective sleeve that prevents mechanical damage and wear at cable entry points. Its form ensures a consistent, snug fit in standard circular cutouts and contributes to an ordered installation by grouping cables together and reducing movement. The component is compact and unobtrusive, designed to limit ingress of dust and to improve the overall finish of panels and work surfaces.

Suitable for

• Routing power and data cables through desks, workbenches and office furniture
• Protecting cable edges in equipment racks, enclosures and control panels
• Neatening cable exits on workshop benches, server cabinets and AV installations

Key specifications

• Single-piece cable pass-through grommet
• Designed for circular cutouts in panels and furniture
• Durable material to reduce abrasion and extend cable life
• Compact profile for a low visual impact
• Stable fit to limit cable movement and secure routing

How to use

Cut an appropriately sized circular hole in the panel or furniture where the cable will pass. Insert the grommet into the cutout until it seats flush with the surface, ensuring the inner sleeve aligns with the cable route. Pass cables through the central opening, adjusting their position to avoid sharp bends. Confirm the grommet is fully seated and that cables move freely without pinching.

Recommendations

Use the grommet with cables whose outer diameter fits the central opening to ensure proper protection. Inspect the grommet periodically for wear, replace it if the material shows cuts or excessive deformation, and avoid overtightening surrounding fasteners that could deform the cutout and reduce effectiveness.
