Bosch GBH 18V-26F PROFESSIONAL 980 σ.α.λ. SDS Plus

The Bosch GBH 18V-26F PROFESSIONAL is a cordless SDS Plus perforator designed for professional use where power and portability are required. Equipped with a brushless motor, the tool delivers improved efficiency and runtime compared with brushed alternatives. It produces an impact energy of 2.6 J and a rated speed of 980 RPM, enabling drilling in concrete up to a maximum diameter of 26 mm. The tool is powered by an 18 V Lithium‑Ion battery system and is supplied with two batteries for extended continuous operation. Its compact footprint — approximately 102 mm wide, 364 mm deep and 226 mm high — supports ease of handling in confined spaces.

Advantages

The brushless motor provides higher efficiency, reduced maintenance and longer service life than brushed motors. The combination of 2.6 J impact energy and 980 RPM rated speed allows the perforator to handle demanding drilling and light chiselling tasks in masonry and concrete. Cordless operation on an 18 V battery system gives freedom of movement on sites without immediate access to mains power, and the included two batteries reduce downtime. Compact dimensions and an SDS Plus chuck ensure quick bit changes and improved maneuverability in tight locations.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in concrete, masonry and brickwork (up to 26 mm diameter)
• Light chiselling and demolition tasks in construction and renovation
• Installation of anchors, conduits and cable routes on job sites
• Tradespeople working in locations without convenient mains power

Key specifications

• Impact energy: 2.6 J
• Rated speed: 980 RPM
• Maximum concrete drilling diameter: 26 mm
• Chuck system: SDS Plus

How to use

Select the appropriate SDS Plus bit for the material and drilling diameter required, and insert it into the chuck until it locks. Choose the drilling or chiselling mode on the tool depending on the task. When drilling concrete or masonry, start at low speed to position the hole, then increase speed as needed. Maintain steady pressure without forcing the tool; let the impact energy and rotation do the work. Monitor battery charge and replace the depleted battery with the spare supplied to continue uninterrupted work. Follow standard safety procedures, including wearing eye and hearing protection and securing the workpiece.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use Bosch Professional 18 V Lithium‑Ion batteries with sufficient charge for heavy-duty applications. When drilling larger diameters or in reinforced concrete, use appropriate carbide SDS Plus bits and remove debris regularly to avoid overheating. Allow the brushless motor to cool if performing extended continuous operation, and inspect the chuck and bit for wear before use.
